Deciding to like the Water

Molly has not really taken to swimming so far this year. But she is showing more and more signs that she just might like it after all.
The girls were swimming on this hot day, but Molly wouldn't go near the water because the hose hooks up to the pool and sprays water out the top of the pool.
I didn't even put her swimming suit on because she usually doesn't get in the water.
But, once we turned the hose off, she was in the pool!
Next time we will have to put her suit on.

Mastering the spoon

Molly is getting the hang of silverware now. She ate her whole bowl of 9 grain cereal by herself and didn't even make a mess until she dropped the bowl on the floor at the end.

Last night she had her first ice cream cone. And she ate every last bite of it.

This poor girls hair is a mess all the time. I have trimmed it twice to help decrease the Mullet look. But, it just isn't growing in the front. I hope she isn't doomed to have male-pattern-baldness hair for her whole life :)

Girls

We have been girls, girls and more girls lately.
And not just because we are a house full of girls.
Chris has been out of town performing in a show for a week and will be gone another week still.
We are keeping busy and playing alot

Playing in our rearranged play room (thanks to our babysitter Rachel!)

Molly hated wearing the goggles and removed them the second Caitlin let go of her hands.

Enjoying a snack before church. It was a hot, sunny day and they had chocolate chips in their bowls which made a melted mess.

SLC

Chris has a goal to attend the temple every month this year. Friday was the only day in June he could go, so we drove to Salt Lake for the day. We both got to go to the Salt Lake temple, so he is a perfect 6/6 so far this year (and it was my 2nd or 3rd time for the year).

But first we spent the morning at the Hogle Zoo. We hadn't been in 3 years, so the girls had a great time.

The carousel was a fan favorite.
Although, Molly got sick of it about halfway through, and then I had to really hold her on the seat.

Ashlee's favorite were the giraffes, Caitlin's were the elephants. Although they both also seems pretty enthralled by the polar bear and tiger.

And a sweet picture Chris took of them while I was in the temple.

Cruise

Chris and I went on a cruise over Memorial Day to celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary.
We had so much fun and are so grateful to Chris' parents who watched the girls the first weekend, and my parents who watched them for the rest of the week!
We went on a Royal Caribbean Cruise to the western Caribbean. We stopped in Labadee, Haiti; Falmouth, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Cozumel, Mexico.

Here we are pulling out of the port.

The first night at dinner. (I had to accuse myself shortly after this picture because I was not feeling well. But luckily, my sea sickness was limited to only this first evening)

Our cruise had dream works characters.

Our friends, Ben and Hilary Brewster, were on the cruise with us! They will be celebrating their 10th in January, so we all celebrated together on the cruise. We loved being on the cruise with them! It was so fun to have them to do everything with. We played shuffle board on the ship. And, although this picture is of the men, Hilary and I were WAY better then them at it.

This was dinner on the first formal night.

 Our ship.

Rock climbing on the ship. I couldn't get up very far, but Chris got to the top.

We drank coconut mild straight from the coconut in Jamaica.
And we went river rafting in Jamaica. The river was pretty calm really, but it was still alot of fun.

Another evening. We ate dinner together every night (at 8:30 or 9:00) and then enjoyed the entertainment the ship had to offer.

The 2nd formal night.

Cozumel had beautiful water and beaches. The pictures don't do it justice, but it was awesome.
The sand was so fine and soft that we just laid right down in it.
It was also nice to see the sun because it rained most of the day in Jamaica and Grand Cayman.

During lunch in Cozumel this raccoon would come up to everyone begging for food. It was much skinnier, and seemed much tamer then raccoons in the US.

I don't know why this picture ended up sideways, but Chris, Ben and Hilary played in a volleyball tournament the last day on the ship. Before that they played dodge ball and ended up taking 2nd!

This is a terrible picture, but these were our wonderful waiters, Jason and Imade. They were fantastic and we requested to sit in their area every night (which was why we usually had to wait until 8:30 or 9:00) Jason was from Jamaica and had the same birthday as Chris and Ben! Imade was from Indonesia and was trying to make enough money to be able to stay there and live (his wife and 2 kids were in Indonesia so he rarely saw them) so sad.

This is Chris on the Flow Rider on the ship. It simulates a big wave to surf. It was fun for he and Ben.

This is just more info for us to remember our trip.

Labadee- beach and water day
Jamaica- crazy market place in the city! Jerk chicken for lunch- so HOT, river rafting and beach. Raining for all of rafting trip. Rope swing into the river.
Grand Cayman- bamboo sheets, swimming with the sting rays (Chris and Hilary were terrified of the sting rays), snorkeling at 2 other locations, pouring rain most of the day.
Cozumel- jeep tour, snorkeling, beach and beautiful water and sand, tequila making tour, Mayan ruin replica (cheap- we wish we had seen the real thing), Mexican lunch on the beach.

Memorial Weekend in Colorado

We went to Colorado the Friday before Memorial Day.
Chris and I were leaving on a cruise Saturday afternoon, so Chris' parents were kind enough to watch the girls Saturday afternoon-mid day Monday.
Saturday morning we spent hours outside in the backyard enjoying the sunshine!
The girls helped water all the flowers.

And drew life size pictures of themselves with sidewalk chalk.
(Not to mention the fun they had playing inside those big boxes in the background)

Around lunchtime, cousin Gavin came over to spend the weekend with his cousins. So fun!

Painting

Today Chris put together Caitlin's helicopter she got from her field trip to the Home Depot.
So I pulled out the paint for her to paint it and Ashlee to paint a picture.
They LOVE to paint.
Painting is to messy for Molly, so she tried to color but just ended up eating the crayons. So she just played instead.

Dance Recital

Last night Caitlin and Ashlee had their spring dance recital.
We didn't realize how crazy people are at this recital.
Chris went at 5:30 to save a seat for him and I.
Everyone else went at 4 to save their seats!
Luckily, it was only the 2 of us, so we still managed to have good seats.
They did a great job!
We didn't record it because they didn't allow it this time.

Last Day of 1st Grade

Today was Caitlin's last day of school.
She was sad to be done with school for the summer.
We are glad that she likes school so much!
