Arizona- At Annie's House

Annie moved over 4th of July, so we got to go and visit her at her new house!
We met up with a cousin's family to go swimming.
The girls loved it because there were girls their ages!

We also went swimming at the community pool right across the street from Annie's house.
It isn't a huge pool, but we had it all to ourselves, and we had fun!

Molly has decided she really likes swimming now.
She especially loves jumping in from the edge of the pool (with someone standing there to catch her)

We set the timer and all jumped in at the same time :)

All the girls.
This trip, Caitlin actually had a hard time telling Annie and I apart. And Molly didn't think there was any difference at all. She just thought she had 2 mothers, and she was fine with that.

The girls played water chicken fighting.

We had a great time at Annie's house, and were so glad that she got to come to G&G Bishop's house with us also.

Backyard Picnic

The girls were swimming in the backyard, so we decided to have lunch outside as well.

Molly thought she was such a big girl sitting at the table with her sisters.
She would take one bite of the watermelon and then put it back in the bowl.

She's a loud girl, and we love her!

Century West

It has been a beautifully hot month and we are loving it!
We try to have water in the backyard or hit one of the parks with water everyday.
Yesterday we went to Century West for the first time this summer.
It has a water slide that is high and fast and the girls haven't wanted to go down it until this summer.
They LOVED it and each went down dozens of times.
Caitlin:
Ashlee:

Molly didn't brave the water slide, but liked sitting on the steps. (Well, kind of. She actually likes to wonder around more than anything else. She doesn't like to sit in one place for very long)

We met some of our friends at the park and got a picture of all the kids (minus 1 baby)
It was such a hot day, and the slide looked so fun, that Natalie, Jessica, Hilary, and I all even took a turn down it!

Riding a Bike

This girl has been learning how to ride a bike without training wheels this summer, and has really mastered it in the past week or so.
She needs a little push to get going, but then is unstoppable!
When she was learning she was sure she HATED it, but now loves riding her bike.
Way to go Ashlee!!

Happy Birthday Caitlin!!

Caitlin is 7 years old today!

This year she wanted a cake with an umbrella on top, and raindrops coming down everywhere.
The inside was a rainbow.
I used white chocolate for the decorations and did the best I could.
I'm glad my children don't have high expectations.

Yesterday she had some friends over for a birthday party.

It was a spa theme, so they decorated flipflops

and soaked their feet in warm water while they ate their lunch.
Then they exfoliated and put lotion on.
Then they painted their toe nails.

We had cake and ice cream and opened presents.

Caitlin had a great time and was so excited to have her friends over!
Ella, Caitlin, Zuyi, Paighton, Ashlee, Camden.

Today, on her actual birthday, she opened her gifts from the family.
She loves everything!

Caitlin loves:
riding her bike and new roller skates
swimming
playing school
writing
taco salad
playing with someone (not by herself)
reading
pink and purple- although she tries really hard to branch out to other colors
watching movies.

We love you Caitlin!!!!

In Loveland

We had a great week in Loveland from Sunday evening-Friday Morning.

Monday we went to Waterworld!!
We only took one picture, but boy did we have fun.
Even Molly loved playing in the water.

There was lots of running through the sprinkler all week.

Trish took me for pedicures one day. We even got flowers painted on.

The 4th was a scorcher.
Some Will family friends came over in the evening for a BBQ and we all went to the fireworks together (except Molly and Doug who graciously volunteered to stay home with her)

We loaded up the wagons and walked to the fireworks.

A community band plays a concert for about an hour or so before the fireworks start.

We also went to the park
rode scooters
played with Gavin
saw Uncle Nate and Aunt Amy
saw Monsters University
Chris and I went to a Rockies game and saw the fireworks after the game
fed the ducks
went to the "Ookie Dookies" (a kids show)
We had a great week. Thanks for hosting us for a week Grandma and Grandpa Will!!!

Vedauwoo

Chris was in Laramie for 2 weeks performing in the play Stones in His Pocket.
Last Friday we headed to Laramie so Chris' parents and I could see the show.
We stayed at a hotel and hung out and saw some old Laramie friends!
Sunday, after church, we headed to Vedauwoo for a picnic before driving on to Colorado.
Vedauwoo (pronounced vedaVoo) is an awesome place just 20 miles east of Laramie.
It is basically just mountains of rock, of all shapes and sizes.

Molly was happy walking around, and was NOT happy when she had to ride in the Ergo for our hike.

The girls were excited to climb some smaller rocks.

It was fun to be able to take them to a place I have been dozens and dozens of times growing up, and were Chris and I got engaged.
