Happy Birthday!!

Today Caitlin turned 6 years old!!!!

We took some pictures in the fun skirt she got to wear on her big day.

She opened all her presents before breakfast.
We played her new game of Guess Who?
We went to the Blairtown pool and stayed for hours, Caitlin and Ashlee loved it so much.

After the park we went to the movies and saw Brave.

For dinner Caitlin picked blueberry waffles.

And an up-up-up cake with a rainbow made to order. (my cake decorating skills aren't the best, plus I always wait until the last minute to make it.  Luckily my kids aren't judgmental and it tastes good).

We love everything about our birthday girl.

Caitlin loves:

  • pink, purple and blue
  • taco salad
  • reading books
  • playing dress-ups
  • holding Molly
  • riding her bike
  • playing with Ashlee
  • painting
  • being with people
  • swimming
  • putting pony-tails in her hair
  • "That Yogurt Place"

Will Family Trip- 2012

Our trip with Chris' family this year was to southern California and Disneyland the last week of June.

We arrived very late on Saturday night after driving all day and spending a few hours with some great friends in Las Vegas.
Sunday we went to church and hung around the house for a family gathering.  The girls loved playing with their cousin, Gavin.

All the kids with great Aunt Margaret.

Monday we went to California Adventure.

Tuesday we went to Disneyland.  Ashlee was a little tired after a long day Monday, but she was a trooper and was so excited to meet the Princesses.

We hadn't yet seen Brave, but the girls wanted to meet Merida.  Caitlin told her that she was born in Scotland.  I have to say that she (Merida) did have a pretty good Scottish accent.

Then we met some princesses.  Ashlee was soooooo excited to meet Ariel.

Belle is Caitlin's favorite.

And Tiana was great with her southern accent.

We went on Pirates of the Caribbean again, but it wasn't our first ride this time.  Even so, Ashlee really didn't like it very much this time either.

Tuesday night Chris and I and Nate and Amy went back for a date night.  We saved up fast passes from the day so we were able to ride a ton of rides in a really short amount of time.

Wednesday morning before heading out.  Molly was so good all week.  She is such a good baby so she easily just went with the flow.  However, Wednesday Katie drove over and watched her so we could go without her for a few hours.  It was so nice of her!!

After Splash Mountain.

Ashlee and I on the Dumbo Ride.  That was our longest wait, and it was super hot in the line.

The girls look so thrilled to be here. (they were hot and tired)

Caitlin and Chris driving the cars.

Mid-afternoon Ashlee and I headed home so I could feed Molly and Caitlin, Chris and Grandpa waited in a really long line to meet Rapunzel.

Wednesday night Chris and Nate went back with their Mom and Dad for a little original Will family time.

Thursday morning Grandma was nice enough to eat breakfast at the kids table!

Grandma, Grandpa and grand kids (minus Molly)

Our little family.  This was Thursday night when we went back to watch Fantasmic.

Thursday we went back to California Adventure and rode a few rides, then went back home just after lunch to take naps so we could go back that night to watch Fantasmic and the fireworks.
The Little Mermaid ride was Ashlee's absolute favorite.  She rode it 5 times, and would have ridden it all day long if she could have.

 Thursday night after the fireworks.

The house we rented had a nice pool that we enjoyed many swims in.

Friday morning everyone headed back to Disneyland for a few hour except for Me, Ashlee and Molly.  Molly needed a quiet day after being up so late the night before and Ashlee was Disneyed out.

Grandma and Grandpa got us matching shirts that we wore Monday and Friday, but we didn't take a group shot on Monday, so we had to settle for a picture at the house on Friday morning.

Friday afternoon we went to the beach for a couple of hours.  The girls loved it and could have probably stayed all day long.

It was a super fun trip.  We were worn out by the end of the week, but we made some great memories!!

3 Months

Someone is 3 months old now!!!

She is getting more and more interactive now
She is great a smiling
She loves watching the ceiling fans
She loves her kicking chair
She can kick herself out of her blankets and completely around in bed
She sleeps from about 7:30ish until 4-5:30 at night before needing to eat again
She has found her hands and loves to have them in her mouth
She is a bit bubbly and drolly
She likes to be wherever she can see us
She is mostly still wearing 0-3month clothes, but is slowly transitioning to 3-6months
She is a joy in every way!

Caitlin's Camera

Caitlin's camera has been full for some time, but she really wants to take it to Disneyland so I took all the pictures off of it.  (as I am sure I have mentioned before it holds over 600 pics and is a bit daunting going through all the pictures so I always put it off as long as possible)

Here were some I found most interesting.

She seems to enjoy taking pictures of her feet and self portraits.

I especially loved these!

She perfectly caught Ashlee having a just about to cry moment.  Ashlee was probably 2 in this picture.

This is skyping with Katie and Grandma just after Cody was born.

Pictures from her height and perspective are always interesting.

I love being reminded of how small Ashlee was.

These were from after Caitlin's birthday last year.  She posed Rapunzel and Maximus all over the house.

And now she has a completely empty camera for Disneyland!!!!
