Sledding

I took the girls sledding on Saturday. 

It was their first time ever, which seems really sad seeing as we do live in Wyoming.  However, we don't get very much snow here, and what we do get usually melts away quickly or blows away.  Thus, not a lot of sledding opportunities.

Saturday had just barely enough snow to almost cover all the grass and make sledding possible.

The girls had tons of fun.

 They were going down the hill soooooo slowly, but they thought it was so fast!

 Molly and I watched a little,

 and participated a little.  Molly seemed to like sledding down the hill.

Ashlee:

 The hardest part is going back up the hill time after time.

 Caitlin:

On one of Caitlin's runs down the hill she took an awesome face plant right into the snow.  She was fine and we had a good laugh about it.

We will try to go out again as soon as we can!

11 Months

We can't believe Molly is almost a year old!

She is a fun little girl. 

She loves to crawl around exploring everything.

Her new favorite game is to crawl into the bathroom and unroll all the toilet paper. We might have to leave the bathroom doors shut with this girl.

She still puts EVERYTHING in her mouth.

 She loved to sit in this little chair and kick her feet.

 She likes to play near her sisters.  They usually get her out of her crib after she wakes up.
They love her and she loves them.
She seems to still love her mommy most of all.
She thought it was the best game to put her toy basket on her lap and tip it up and down.

Her hair is still pretty thin in front, but getting longer everywhere else.  It still sticks up a lot, but will sometimes curl a little bit near her neck.
She can wave goodbye. She usually does it when she is going to bed.
She has mostly been weaned from nursing- down to just 2 feedings a day.
She takes a bottle great, and loves food, so she doesn't seem to even notice being weened.
She still only has 1 tooth on the bottom.

She says "mama" to me, or at me, sometimes.
She loves to take a bath, but doesn't really splash the water at all.
She goes to Zumba with me every Tuesday and Thursday morning and takes a nap in her carseat/stroller.
She can click her tongue, so cute.
And she loves to cover her top lip with her bottom lip in concentration.

I think she has roseola. Which would explain her unexplained fever earlier this week, and the light rash she has now. Caitlin had it when she was a baby too.

Peruvian

Annie has traveled to South America many times this past year for work.
In her recent visit up to Rock Springs she brought the girls some winter hats from Peru.
The picture is not the best, but the hats are sooooo cute. Thanks Annie!!

These three girls are the best sisters! We love them!

Again

We have a little girl at our house who isn't feeling well, again.

Although, this time she is no where near as sick as she was last time.  

She is just cranky, clingy, tired, irritable, running intermittent fevers, and grouchy. 

This is how she's looked a lot of the time the past few days.

She just wants me to hold her.  Only me, not her sisters. (maybe Chris, but he is out of town so we will never know)
I'm not sure what the problem is. No runny nose, no cough, no new teeth that I can feel, no diarrhea, no rashes, I don't think its an ear infection? Maybe just a virus passing through? I hope she feels more like her regular self soon.

Spinning Coins

One of my favorite games I played with my siblings while I was growing up was spinning coins.  We would all sit at my little sisters picnic table and get out all our coins and try to get them all spinning at the same time.

Today I taught it to Caitlin and Ashlee.

They weren't interested in getting them all spinning, they were just excited to get one spinning!

 Their game was to try to get it spinning and travel the furthest distance.

 It was a good game for them for 20 or 30 minutes.

Just Dance

We gave the girls Disney Just Dance for Valentines Day.
I had to work that night, so Chris, the girls, and Annie tried it out.
Annie came to visit for 5 days, and I didn't even take a single picture!
Luckily she took a few pictures of the Just Dance fun.

I tried it in the morning when I got home from work, and was thoroughly exhausted.  It's hard to say how much of that was from the game and how much was from working all night.

The girls love this new game, and we love it to!

Up the Stairs

Mobile

Over the past few weeks, Molly has become very, very mobile.  She isn't walking, but she has mastered everything else.

She stands up with anything and everything now.

I'm sure everything looks so much different from this vantage point!

 She can kneel for as long as she pleases without losing her balance

She only crawls now.  No more army crawl.

She figured out how to go up the stairs. 

She loves to stand up in her crib.  Which has been a bit of a  problem for her naps.  I lay her down and then she starts crying the second I walk out of the room and stands up and cries and cries until shes decided that she is tired of crying and lays down to go to sleep.

This was her first day pulling herself up on things to stand.  January 28th.

Dress-up girl?

Caitlin and Ashlee love playing dress-ups, but Molly has been kind of little to play. 

Grandma Berta gave us a new dress-up for Molly over Christmas break.

Last night we tried it on to see how she liked it.

She did not like the hat and took it right off. (in the picture above her hands are moving up to take her hat off, I had to snap the picture quick)

But she didn't seem to mind wearing the dress at all.
She likes us telling her how pretty she looked and what a big girl she was.

After about 10 minutes we had to take it off because there are little puffs on it that she was trying to pull apart and eat.  Maybe we should just remove them as they really don't do anything for the dress anyway.

This girl will probably like dress-ups just as much as her sisters.

Ashlee's Pledge

Ashlee handed me a card yesterday and told me that she would love me forever, even when she was gone. I asked if she would still love me when she is a teenager, and she said "yes!"
So Chris recorded it for her.

I didn't know how to put just a sound recording on the blog, so it is a boring video (just close your eyes).
