April's Wedding

Monday we ladies loaded up in the van and headed to Utah for April's wedding! So exciting!!

She was a beautiful bride! It was so emotional seeing her walk down the isle and get married.

We snagged her for a quick group shot. (Too bad only 4 of us still live in Rock Springs)

We went back a few hours later for the reception at the same venue. It was an old barn and both the wedding and reception were so beautiful. Congratulations to April. I am so happy for her.

Spring Soccer

We are in full soccer mode- well, except that half of the practices/games have been canceled because of bad weather.
Thursdays are crazy because both of the girls practice, so we are at the field for many hours. I packed dinner and we had to eat in the car because the weather was so bad. We added a couple of friends, Lola and Ella, to eat with us. Party in the van!!

One soccer practice we just hung out in the van because this little girl DID NOT feel well at all.

Games

Ashlee is improving and liking soccer more all the time. (I, sadly, have no video of Caitlin)

April- having fun and passing the time

Some of our other pictures from April.

I made this and the girls spent an hour or two climbing through it. They thought it was so much fun! Next time I would make it a little easier.

Molly loves to help with everything. This was her first time washing dishes and it may now be her favorite thing to help with.

The girls have been such good helpers while Chris has been gone. They all pitch in to get the house clean. This night we played that they were all Cinderella and I was the evil step-mom. They thought it was about the most fun ever.

Austrialian Day- Ashlee

Ashlee's Australian performance was today.
They did a song with clapsticks that they made.

This song and dance were so fun. The 3rd graders did it, and I had danced with Caitlin the day before.

The 1st graders danced to a song were they acted out a lot of animals.

Australian Show- Caitlin

Westridge school was super lucky to have a man named Paul Taylor come to their school for 2 weeks and teach them all about Australia. They sang and danced and made crafts and put on a show at the end of it all. They really loved it, and it was a good experience for them.
Caitlin and Ashlee's classes didn't perform on the same day, so I went to the performance both days.
Caitlin's class sang and acted out a song where they were in a chain gang.

And one were they twirled their bullroarer that they made.

Visiting Chris

Trish and Doug gave me a trip to see Chris and babysitters (them) for my birthday this year. So I cashed it in and headed up to see him Thursday-today.
The weather in Wyoming was awful while I was gone, so I felt fortunate that I made it to SLC and back without to much trouble.
He picked me up at the airport in Lewistown, and then had to get right back to class. So I hung out in the library reading my book.
I haven't been in a college library in years.

It was so sunny and warm, perfect weather! We walked around the campus a bit and then headed back to Colfax (where he lived for the semester) and walked around there.

The next day we drove up to Coeur d'Alene. The weather was so nice and the lake was beautiful!!
We explored a bit and ate at a Brazilian Steak house.

The next day we rented bikes and rode on a path next to the lake. It was so fun.

Back at home, in the cold and snow, the girls built a snowman.
And were treated to Ihop for breakfast!

Westridge Choir Conert (April 15)

Caitlin had her spring choir concert, and she was so excited for it. They had choir practice every Monday and Wednesday morning before school all year long. Caitlin has loved it.
G&G Will came to see the performance (and then to watch the girls for a few days while I flew up to spend a couple days with Chris in Idaho)
Molly is grandma's best helper in making naan bread before the concert.
