WWCC Volleyball

This is us at the WWCC volleyball game last night.
Hopefully we will be able to go several times this year.
The girls liked to mimic the cheerleaders and Molly did surprising well.
And...they won, which is always an added bonus.

Doing Hair

Caitlin and Ashlee have always, and still love, to do my hair.
They haven't gotten much more creative in their years of doing it.
Still just putting clips everywhere.

And since they were taking a picture of my hair they took a picture of themselves to.

A few things Molly loves

Molly loves to play outside.
If anyone goes outside without her she will through a huge crying fit.

She loves to get out the crayons and color on paper. She is very good with the crayons and only colors on things she is suppose to.

She loves to climb up on the chair and sit at the computer and push the buttons.
She knows she isn't suppose to do this, but she tries every chance she gets.

A couple of Sundays ago we put Molly's hair in a little pony tail for the first time. It is getting pretty long and thick in the back, but is still pretty slow at filling in in the front.
She does love to get her hair done though. She will sit down on the floor right in front of me when I am doing the older girls hair so she can get her hair done to.

Rain!!!!

Tuesday evening we had a big rain storm.
It almost NEVER rains here, so it was so exciting.
The girls got their umbrellas and headed outside.

Molly went out too and didn't mind getting wet one bit.

Even Chris and I joined them in the rain for a while (although I was taking the pictures)

It was so fun to stand in the rain and get wet.
I can't even remember the last time we had a big rainstorm like this.
The only trouble is that now Molly is certain she needs to go and stand in the gutter every time we go outside. So we are trying to teach her to not go in the street all over again!

Trek

Our stake had a trek lover the weekend.
We decided many months ago that we were going to do it, so in July we started going on long "trek walks" so the girls (read: Ashlee) would be able to do the 6 mile trek.
We drove up to Farson Friday night to go camping and then trek in the morning.
It was Molly's first ever camping experience and she liked to wander around, and had no concept that the fire was dangerous. So we had to watch her CLOSELY.
We all fit snug in our 4 man tent, but we need a new tent now. I would like to be able to stand up and stretch out a little!

The girls and I pulled the hand cart first, but only for about 1/4 of a mile. It is heavy.
The rest of the time we walked and some wonderful men in our ward pulled it the whole time.

Gateway Ward.
We didn't have a ton of people with us, but it was still a great time.
It was a good way to get to know some of the people in our brand new ward.

Molly rode in the Ergo the whole time, and did great!
Caitlin and Ashlee did a great job also. There was only a small amount of whining and complaining from our 5 year old. She did go on a short ride on the 4 wheeler and loved that!

Ashlee's Happy Birthday!

Yesterday Ashlee turned 5 years old!

She was so excited and had been talking about her birthday for days.
She opened her presents before breakfast and was very excited everything she received.

Caitlin gave her a new umbrella.
They love to play outside with them, even though we nearly never get any rain.
They play with them anyway, where them out, and get new ones for their birthdays the next year.

We spent the middle of the day playing at the park, swimming in the pool and having a picnic.
For dinner we had spaghetti (her favorite!!) and chocolate cake with pink (raspberry) frosting and sprinkles.

We love you Ashlee! Happy Birthday!!

Ashlee loves spaghetti and tomatoes.
She is a thinker and always has many things going on in her head.
She is great at doing impressions and always makes us laugh.
She is great at playing make believe and is super at making new friends.
She loves books.
She loves movies.
She LOVES water slides.
She loves swimming and is fearless.

Will and Winn

We drove the longer way home from Arizona (through Colorado) to stop and visit some friends who have recently moved to Denver.
We had a great time visiting, and the kids played and played every waking second.

We (and by we I mean I) had a great idea to go to the park to play. The problem was it was 2 in the afternoon and over 90 degrees and SO HOT.
So we walked there and stayed 5 minuted and walker back.

But the next day we went to a splash pad and had a much cooler time.

We love the Winn's and had such a fun time hanging out for a couple of days! Thanks for letting us come and visit!!!

The Rest of Our Arizona Trip

The girls were watching a movie one day, and Molly sat down beside them.
So cute, although she only stayed there for 1 second.

I made a quilt just before we went and then my Mom and Annie helped me tie it and bind it.
It is a disappearing 9 block quilt, which is super easy, and it turned out so cute.
I surprised Annie by giving it to her as a house warming gift.

There is a BIG mountain right next to my parents that is much cooler then they are.
One afternoon we drove up the mountain to cool off and have a picnic.
We hiked and shelled pecans. And the girls had fun playing in the dirt.
Then our trip got cut a bit short when Caitlin got stung by a wasp at the end of dinner.

We mudded our feet with mud from the Dead Sea.

And we went the the community pool a couple of times. Molly loved the shallow end, and Caitlin and Ashlee loved the 2 water slides!

We love going to Arizona and always have a great time!
This was us up bright and early to make the long drive back home.
The girls loved taking rides on Grandpa's new scooter!

Arizona- G&G Bishop's part 1

From Annie's we headed to G&G's house.
The girls LOVE it there, and were quick to get most everything out of the toy closet.
Grandma Berta helped them set it all up in the Arizona room so they could still play even when Molly was sleeping.
We took the new game Caitlin got for her birthday (oh no, I think we left it there).

One favorite toy is the doll house.

They loved swinging in the backyard. One day Caitlin and Ashlee got a little wild in their pushing and tipped the whole thing over. Caitlin suffered a few aliments, and I'm sure they will never do that again!

We always have tea parties! We love having them with the Elmer tea set because you get much more water in your cup!

And we jumped rope. Although Molly was in the way and we couldn't do it very long.

Molly's hair curled quite a bit in the back while we were there.
They are having their monsoon season so there was more humidity in the air.

We played a lot of games.

The girls love spending time with Annie. They forget all about me when she is around.
