Random September

The girls discovered the game of Life, and we love playing it.

Ashlee was home, sick from school. Luckily Molly could keep her company.

Molly is 3 1/2 and FINALLY old enough to sit still and listen at story time at the library.

Before church.

I got free tickets from work to a Guess Who concert at the fairgrounds. They are an old band, so we didn't know many songs, but we had a great time. We love date nights.

Another church day.

Playing at the park around the corner from our house.

Chris shaved his beard. I think its his first clean shaven face in years. It only lasted this day.

The Steven's moved to Star Valley last year and came to Rock Springs for the day. We were so excited to see them, and the girls were in heaven playing (they sure miss Alayna and Brylen). We all went to Cafe Rio for dinner.

Wearing mom's sunglasses.

Caitlin and I got to attend the Women's Broadcast together. So fun!

Everyone tucked in for bed.

Girls to Arizona

The day after the "Annie" performance (last Friday) G&G Bishop drove back to Arizona with the girls. They were so brave, and kind, to be willing to take them home with them for nearly a week. They girls had a great time, and we got picture updates from G Berta throughout the week.

While they were gone Chris and I went to the Ogden Temple and the Vernal Temple (pictured below) as well as got some house work done and wondered why our life was so quite. The girls sure add lots of noise and excitement.

On Thursday, Chris drove down to pick up the girls. He met G&G in Kingman, where they made the exchange. Then they spent the night in Las Vegas with some of our friends who use to live in Rock Springs (Brock and Sarah Ellis). Caitlin and Kayden are the same age and loved playing together when they were little. The Ellis' moved away when they were 4 1/2.

On the way home from Vegas they stopped to play at this playground and Chris had them stand where they were born. See Caitlin, clear over in the right corner, standing in Scotland?

Chris' Birthday

Today was Chris' 34th birthday!
We had a very busy day: presents, International Day's at Bunning park where the girls had awesome face painting, mowing lessons, and the annual Chris/Ben birthday party. Its great that they share a birthday and we have an extra excuse to get together and have a BBQ.

4th of July

We drove over to Bear Lake to spend the day at the beach for the 4th of July. Going to Bear Lake is one of our favorite things to do in the summer (since we first started going last summer). There were mobs of people, but we got there early and staked out our own piece of beach and had a great time. We got there around 9, our friends, the Philo's, joined us around noon and we stayed until about 5. It was a blast. And no one got sun burned, which was an added bonus.
The lake was very full. We had to wade through thigh deep water to get to the little island of sand. The water we waded through was very warm, but very stagnant and gross. Molly thought it felt like a warm bathtub and loved playing and laying in it. Yuck.

Once we got home we showered and vegged until it was time for the fireworks. We were all exhausted, but we love fireworks so we stayed up for them.
There were a couple of fires on White Mountain, so we watched many fire shows.

Happy 4th!
